  • drowning is a response piece to the recent overturn of Roe V Wade. This piece represents my feelings at the time of this decision by the supreme court and the forced compliance to Evo-Christian ideals on the general populace, with the quick decline of freedom of religion. being bound in a position of prayer with the American flag placed over me I had a dear friend waterboard me in front of a church in downtown Denver.

special thanks to Kim Stangle for providing waterboarding services and to Morgan Moxley for Photographing

Flower Contract

Video Peice

2022

  • Flower contract is a personal piece using audio narration from the contract that I wrote for my ex-fiancee after I broke up with him in December of 2021. This piece is a form of proof of what people deal with when living with an emotionally abusive partner. The piece begins with a single set of hands plucking the petals off a flower with the contract being read in the background. As the contract goes on it goes from basic housekeeping to more serious issues the hands becoming blurred and repeating themselves with time dilation in order to show the level of confusion that often comes with these types of situations. This piece is intended to show the chaos and confusion that these situations can cause as well as provide an idea of what an emotionally abusive relationship can look like.
